Tento poslední seminář byl trochu netradiční, neboť jsme měli tu čest zde přívítat a seminář zahájit přednáškami ředitele vývoje Informixu - Jerry Keeseeho a víceprezidenta Information on Demand Acceleration Toma Inmana!

Jerry Keesee:
Director of Informix Database Development, leads the Informix database portfolio software development efforts. Since joining IBM in 2001, Jerry has led his team in multiple releases of IBM Informix Dynamic Server as well as other products in the portfolio.
Prior to joining IBM, Jerry spent eight years with Informix where he was Vice President of Database Development. Jerry has more that 20 years of experience in development and management roles in the computer industry. Jerry received a degree in computer science from Missouri Southern State College.
Tom Inman:
is IBM Vice President of Information on Demand Acceleration.
Tom is reporting to Ambuj Goyal, General Manager of IBM’s Information Management Division and leader of the IBM-wide Information on Demand corporate initiative. In this capacity Tom is responsible for accelerating the market understanding of IOD and its value proposition and how to realize the value. Value realization comes from helping clients to establish an Information Agenda – a strategy and roadmap for leveraging information for business optimization and competitive differentiation. Tom helps drive client adoption of IOD through a common approach to engage, qualify, propose and deliver value through IOD engagements and projects.
Prior to this Tom was Vice President of Strategy and Market Management in IBM’s Information Management Solutions Division. In this capacity he was responsible for business strategy, offering and portfolio marketing, channel marketing and marketing execution for the Information Management Division. The Information Management Solutions Division is responsible for IBM’s Software portfolio designed to address all forms of information management needs and best practices including capabilities to: Manage information over its lifetime; Use information as part of business processes; Establish and maintain an accurate, trusted view of information; and Plan, understand and optimize business performance. Further, the division focuses on software solutions to address client’s needs in the areas of: Managing Risk & Streamlining Compliance; Gaining Insight through Information; Gaining Control over Master Data; Enabling Business Transformation; Managing Information Complexity; and Lowering Cost through Optimized Information Infrastructure.
Prior to this role Tom was Vice President of Product Management & Marketing, IBM WebSphere Software. In this capacity he was responsible for product strategy and offerings across the WebSphere portfolio From January 2000 through March 2003 Tom held the position of Director of Worldwide Sales, IBM WebSphere. In this capacity he was responsible for overall revenue and market share growth of this product line, gaining market share leadership during this timeframe. Prior to this Tom developed the initial business plan leading to the creation of the WebSphere portfolio and brand and helped launch WebSphere in June of 1998.
In 1996, Tom held the position of Executive Assistant to Dr. Irving Wladawsky-Berger, General Manager of IBM’s Internet Division and chief architect behind IBM’s successful e-business, and On Demand Business strategies and IBM company-wide program.
Prior to this, Tom spent 10 years in sales and sales management across various product lines and industries. Tom has an MBA in Marketing and a Bachelor of Science in Systems Engineering.
